Not too long ago we launched a new Nursing Bras and Nursing Tanks web site and had to SEO optimize all the submitted site copy, and create the associated Page Title, Description and Keyword Meta Tags. In addition, we composed and inserted Alt and Title Meta Tags for each image used in the site. We are now composing and inserting Link Title Tags on every link, which will complete the on-page portion of our SEO copywriting initiatives' first phase.

How do we know what Nursing Bra and Nursing Tank keywords to use? Well for that we turn to the Google Adwords keyword tool, which in addition to giving you the traffic data, competition level, and average Cost per Click for each of your input keywords, it also creates extensive lists of long-tail and synonym keywords that you can add to your targeted keywords list.

You have to carefully go through these lists of suggestions, because each individual keyword may or may not be relevant to the web site / objective in question. The keyword "nursing", for instance, not only relates to the process of breastfeeding a baby, perhaps with the assistance of a Nursing Bra or Nursing Tank ;-), but also the practice of nursing as a health care profession. "Nursing clothes", for example, can be worn while breastfeeding, or worn while at your job in the hospital.

With care and diligence, though, you can sort through the large list, and sometimes you'll even find it useful to run additional keywords to fully develop a theme you might discover during your research. This happened with us when we were researching Nursing Bras and Nursing Tanks and came across a whole raft of "baby shower gift" related keywords. These weren't part of our original plan, but they are now.
